About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Thrift Shop Sales Assistant! You will perform customer focused retail tasks that support the daily operations of the store and the mission objectives of The Salvation Army.
Responsibilities include
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and provide appropriate assistance
- Assist with processing all donations and ensure adequate amount of stock is on the shop floor at the correct price point
- Perform store open & close established procedures as required
- Provide direction, coaching and guidance to all team members as required
- Report serious incidents to appropriate personnel in line with established procedures as required
This is a permanent part-time position, 5 hours per week to fill in on the weekends, based in Ararat, VIC.
What you will have
- Demonstrated customer service experience working in retail environment with an ability to work collaboratively in team setting
- Sound presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) with an ability to interact with a variety of people
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
