Job description

Applications are invited for a suitably qualified Timetable Manager to join our College, whilst being fully supportive of the ethos of our school based on the Islamic tradition.

We are an equal opportunity, independent, Foundation to Year 12 Islamic College based in Melbourne's outer west. Child safety is our priority and we are currently seeking a full-time team member to join our College.

The Timetable Manager plays a central role in assisting to construct the College’s various timetables, ensuring they effectively and efficiently support the staffing and curriculum needs of the College. The ideal candidate should be a highly organized and proactive individual, who pays significant attention to detail, with the capacity to maintain a high level of confidentiality.  

Essential Criteria:

  • Working With Children Check is mandatory
  • Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Assist in the development of staffing allotments and draft timetable grids, including the maintenance of the School Data platform.  
  • Strong understanding of the developmental needs of children, adolescents and emerging young adults.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Explain professional concepts and approaches to clients, stakeholders, colleagues and staff
  • Confidentiality
  • Proficient in the use of ICT for communication and record keeping.
  • Interpersonal skills appropriate to establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff and parents, particularly the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Maintain a positive environment which is respectful of all present and fosters student learning and motivation.
  • Participate in the College's professional development activities in and out of school hours.
