Tour Guide - Local Drink & History Tours

About The Role

Are you a Tour Guide or aspiring Tour Guide who loves to tell stories, help guests discover hidden gems and highlight the great work of local producers? Do you love beer, wine, spirits, coffee and food? Then we need you!

Dave’s Travel Group are NSW tour experts, operating craft drink, food, historical and sightseeing tour experiences. We love to connect our local and international guests to the best of Sydney and surrounds and we're looking for more Daves (what we call our guides) to help us do that.

Our business runs tours of local breweries, wineries, distilleries, artisan food producers, historic pubs and also iconic tourism locations.

Ideally, we’re looking for customer focused individuals that can work across all our experiences. Whether its telling tall tales and bad jokes in the pubs of The Rocks, driving our Dave’s vans showing guests the local craft food and drink scene, visiting the wineries of the Hunter or pouring beers at a corporate event and spreading the word on the best tastes in Sydney and NSW, you’ll be the face of Dave’s. People might even start calling you Dave.

You won’t need to know everything about drinks production or history up front (although that’d be a bonus). All the Dave's do have all have a general love of locally produced beer, wine, spirits, food and history, along with a passion for helping people explore our local producers and understand our history as its core to who we are.

Positions are available on a Casual basis, but we have multiple roles for qualified individuals. Qualifications & experience Requiremnets

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• A love of history and/or beer, wine, spirits and other locally produced food and drinks
• Ability to work weekends and evenings
• Tour Guiding/Tourism Industry or Public Speaking Experience
• Full NSW Drivers Licence (for driving guides)
• Proven safe driving record (for driving guides)  
• Outgoing & Friendly personality
• Reliable
• Well Presented
• Australian Permanent Residency

Desirable

• Bar, waiting or event experience
• LR or MR license
• RSA
• NSW/ACT Driver’s Authority
• First Aid Certificate
• Multilingual
