At Air Adventure, we're not just about flights; we're about creating lifetime memories. As pioneers in luxury air safaris, we've been transforming the way people experience remote Australia since 1977. Now, we're looking for an Operations Manager who's as passionate about adventure as we are!
By utilising our luxury private aircraft we enable guests to access the most remote destinations in outback Australia - some of which are not even accessible by road.
More recently we expanded to include Air Adventure Golf Tours as another core brand of our business. Our range of golf tours enables golfers to play some of the world's most spectacular links courses in just a few days.
At Air Adventure we are proud of our history, but we're also excited for the future as we strive to lead our market sector.
About the role
As our Operations Manager, you'll be the maestro orchestrating our daily operations. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that each air safari is not just a trip but an extraordinary experience for our clients and an adventure they'll never forget.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with travel industry experience to join a multi-award winning and well established business and take the lead in all operational aspects of the business. This role is the "glue" that holds the entire organisation together.
While the primary function of this role is to ensure all aspects of a tour has been accurately booked and confirmed, it is also important that operations ensures, through systems and processes, that all other functions of the business are working cohesively.

Whilst this is an office based role, there will be some domestic travel required which will see you travelling to some incredible outback locations.

Responsibilities
- Working with the Managing Director to set a program of scheduled departures, then confirming all components of the itinerary
- Upkeep of Air Adventure Operations Manual
- Working with and managing our Operations Assistant
- Working with the GM of Golf and Ops Assistant to set and confirm all golf tour departures
- As the first point of contact, manage all operational matters in the lead up to, on tour or post tour for both golf and outback
- Management of our tech stack
- Pilot rostering in collaboration with the chief pilot
- Manage operations mobile for Tour Leaders, Pilots, Ground Operators - (Time in Lieu given for work outside normal office hours)
- Manage REZDY booking system: Products, orders, extras, schedules, vouchers, promo codes and technical issues.
About You:
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in travel or related industries.
Tech savvy (training provided on individual platforms but you'll need to be able to pick it up and run with it)
A natural leader with exceptional organisational skills.
Ability to think on your feet and make decisions under pressure.
A detail-oriented mindset with a flair for creating memorable experiences.
Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
Passionate about travel and creating unique experiences.
