Tourism & VIC Officer (Chinchilla)
About the Opportunity
Council is seeking an Tourism & VIC Officer to promote and market tourism, undertaking tourism activities and effectively deliver services in order to support the operations of the Visitor Information Centre.
This position is based in Chinchilla.
Reporting to the Tourism Program Leader, you will be:
- Undertaking the efficient and effective delivery of Visitor Information Centre activities and operations;
- Managing the Visitor Information Centre accreditation by maintaining operation manuals, business plan, staff and volunteer training, minimum opening hours and brochure display requirements; and
- Undertaking the delivery of tourism related projects, including product development, destination marketing and industry development.

- Working across different agencies, levels of government, and the private and not-for-profit sectors to develop appropriate responses.
