Job Title: Town Planner

Location: Surry Hills or Frenchs Forest , Sydney

Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 

Role Type: Permanent

This is an exciting time to join CPS as we are looking to grow our multi-disciplinary team due to increased workload. We are made up of a team of Planners, Landscape Architects and Arborists who are all extremely passionate about what we do. 

CPS have a large and diverse client base made up of both public and private sector clients across various sectors including residential, mixed-use, commercial and industrial. As such, a prospective planner can expect immediate exposure to a wide variety of town planning work to get stuck into. • Development Applications and Assessments
• Acquisition Advice
• Complying Development
• Liquor Licensing
• Disability Housing
• Strategic Planning
• State Government Agencies

Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

• Provision of preliminary planning/ due diligence advice at site selection stage
• Assessment of complying development applications
• Preparation and management of development applications
• Frequent liaison with head clients and project consultants
• Attendance at weekly client progress meetings

Our Ideal Person:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in town planning (or an equivalent or similar discipline)
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar client focused role either in local government or the private sector
• DA Assessment experience is desirable but not essential
• The ability to assess plans with a high level of attention to detail
• Sound communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• A positive can-do attitude
• A current and unrestricted driving license
