About the role
We are looking for tertiary qualified Town Planners with experience in preparing and lodging development applications in Queensland and envisage appointing one or more excellent candidates from graduate to senior levels. You will have the opportunity to provide town planning advice to Clients and work on a range of development projects including residential, rural, commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, lodging, and managing development applications
- Providing statutory and strategic planning advice to clients
- Assessing development applications on behalf of Council clients
- Co-ordinating with engineering and architectural personnel, clients, government and other consultants
- Liaising with relevant authorities and clients to ensure a high level of communication is kept throughout each project
Qualifications and Skills:
- Effective interpersonal skills for managing prospective and existing clients and their projects
- Positive, client-oriented attitude
- Ability to work in a team environment and co-ordinate with internal and external project team members
- Familiar with land use, design, economic, environmental, and infrastructure issues in Queensland
- Well-developed knowledge and experience with relevant legislation
- Organised and focused
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent and creative problem-solving skills
Remuneration
Financial remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience.
While seeking qualified Town Planners, InsiteSJC would also consider candidates studying town planning or a graduate from a related discipline.
Location
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will reside in Bundaberg.
