We are looking for a Track Operations and Surveying Assistantto assist the Team Leader Survey to undertake their duties through track access planning, administration support and track protection. This is a full time permanent opportunity.
This role will have a mix of tasks including:
- Track Access planning activities such as booking train notices, protection officers and provide hands on protection officer support as required.
- Safety and Fatigue administration activities with regard to fatigue audits, managing the surveying safe working method statement and other documentation.
- Plan and manage vehicle and survey equipment inspection and maintenance schedules;
- Carry out general Administration activities such as timesheets, team travel and maintaining asset registers via EAMS and general Administration tasks.
- In field activities such as accurate measuring, data recording and ground marking duties under the direction of the Supervising Surveyor.
What we are looking for:
This is a great opportunity for someone who has knowledge and/or experience within a Surveying environment.
- Candidates who are savvy with technology and able to quickly adapt to learning new systems or currently have experience using SAP/ or similar EAM Systems
- Excel spreadsheeting skills and proficient in other Microsoft Suite applications.
- Has performed a combination of survey assistant tasks as well as general administration and low level planning activities.
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated and forward thinker that uses initiative.
- Safety Comes First Always mindset.
Qualifications and other application requirements:
Must hold a current and unrestricted Drivers Licence.
Due to the timeline of the requirements for this role, we will only be able to accept candidates with unrestricted eligibility to the be employed within Australia.
Hours/conditions of work and location:
This role works 76 hours per fortnight over a 9-day roster including rostered weekend work and opportunity for approved paid overtime as per our current enterprise agreements.
Office location is close to the Brisbane Airport, however this role will also have some field based requirements, you can also expect that you will be exposed to outdoor conditions, standing and walking for long periods of time around sites.
Majority of our sites are located within our Southeast Queensland rail network, however there may also be occasional requirements to travel to our Queensland regional sites.
