Could you be the Trade Assistant we’re looking for based in our Dandenong site?
Alstom is seeking a dedicated Trades Assistant with experience in sheetmetal and spot-welding operations.This is an opportunity to work alongside qualified trades, expand your skill set, and contribute to high-quality projects.
We'll look to you for the following activities:
- Operate the spot welder and ensure the production of strong and consistent joints
- Contribute to quality control by inspecting and ensuring the final products meet the required standards
- Operating machinery and using power tools
- Cleaning, preparing and maintaining work sites and tools
- Understand and adhere to all safety regulations and best practices.

- Experience in sheetmetal and spot-welding operations
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Familiarity with the standard tools and processes.
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices
- Previous experience operating a spot welder is highly preferred.
