The role
Reporting to the Finance Manager in one of the Company's largest divisions, the role will provide financial and accounting support to a specific Business Unit.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute daily trading P&L reconciliations
- Complete assigned month-end close reconciliations and reports,
- Provide financial support, analysis and insight to the Business Unit
- As required, support the financial year end close, including interaction with auditors
- Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes
- Provide input to business process changes from a financial perspective
- Participate in the Group's projects, initiatives and continuous improvement activities
- A tertiary degree in accounting, business or similar
- Display exceptional attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Self-starting, team focused attitude
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Business partnering experience
- Experience of financial reporting
- Completion, or working towards completion of CA or CPA qualification
- Collaborative finance team with strong mentors and developers
- A large finance team where other openings often occur - the reason the role has become available as the person in this role has been promoted
