It is an exciting time to join our Australian subsidiary which is experiencing strong growth, and expanding into new business segments. As such we are seeking to appoint an innovative, commercially minded Trade Marketer to manage the Australian marketing activities, and support our NZ distributor. The position is a member of the Australian management team and has significant responsibility in driving the commercial success of the business. Reporting to the Senior Director - APAC, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing Trade Marketing strategies, programs, and solutions for all current direct distribution channels.
The role will manage both the day to day execution of Trade Marketing activities, along with being a key contributor the design and implementation of marketing and customer support programs, PR activations and increasing digital direct to consumer marketing. While Trade Marketing is the focus of the role, the position also has the scope for the development of consumer and brand campaigns, primarily in the digital environment.
Job Description:
- Developing, implementing and monitoring customized marketing plans to ensure sell-in and sell out targets. Manage the A&P budget and allocation of marketing investment.
- Managing assigned marketing budgets and cooperating with Sales to define priorities in order to allocate investments.
- Increasing brands’ visibility in market to promote business through development and implementation of Trade Marketing and in-store development activities
- Coordinating with Global Brand Managers on special projects (capsule collections, dedicated / exclusive products etc.) and driving implementation.
- Frequent market visits to build up long-term relationships and developing clear understanding of retailers’ processes/ requirements to help support commercial activities.
- Support Sales team in complex negotiations and in special marketing projects (e.g. new launches, department store corners etc.)
Requirements:
- Solid Trade Marketing experience with a willingness to manage the operational tasks.
- 6+ years’ experience in Trade Marketing, retail marketing, category management or visual merchandising. Multi brand / product portfolio experience an asset
- Experience within the retail, FMCG, or fashion/premium goods sectors would be an advantage
- Ability to develop and maintain solid relationships and working knowledge or retail partners
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate well cross functionally – working closely with the sales and operations team is essential.
