Want to join the BackTrack circle? We have an opening for a motivated and hard-working Trades Supervisor in Armidale, NSW.
We are looking for a full time experienced, trades person who is able to lead by example and provide quality workmanship and who will live by our core values of Belonging, Mastery, Independance and Generosity.
Key Accountabilities (but not limited to) of the role:
- Provide supervision, training and mentoring of BackTrack Works employees and trainees on agricultural projects, and other projects as required.
- Work with Operations Manager – Armidale to execute all aspects of current projects, including liaising with external trades and stakeholders, creating safety documentation, maintaining of plant and equipment, whilst adhering to budgets and project plans.
- Develop a weekly schedule in liaison with Operations Manager – Armidale, and Training and Transition Manager.
- Liaise with BackTrack Works employees and trainees on site as required; and reporting any matters to the Operations Manager - Armidale that may potentially affect relationships with clients.
- Supervise delegated tasks, including but not limited to all areas of BackTrack Works' metal fabrication, carpentry, and agriculture.
Essential Requirements:
- Passion for working in the youth/community services sector.
- Trades qualifications and/or related experience.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills, attention to detail and time management.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with BackTrack youth as well as a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, manage and provide feedback to teams.
- A flexible, tolerant, and cooperative attitude, with tolerance in the face of challenge and ambiguity.
