Are markets predictable? Maybe. Are humans predictable? Most certainly not. Can mere mortals capitalise on the movements of hive mentality? Most certainly yes. These people do it daily.

Market movers. Market makers. They play the game which is usually based on highly sophisticated acquisition of knowledge, patience and well-timed courage. The courage to make a move. To act. All in a day’s work.

Here's the day to day:  

Your role is developing and building Trading Systems that support the wizards that make the big bucks. These systems help them to acquire the knowledge that executes these trading decisions. You'll build systems that will execute millions of orders per day with a latency speed of micro-seconds.

These bleeding-edge technical solutions support quant traders and analysts. Trading systems for financial products like futures & options. The development of business-critical Trading Systems. 

It’ll involve taking ownership of projects through the entire SDLC, from gathering to release. You’ll collaborate with the whole team to achieve the most fluid outcomes and you will always be looking at ways to optimise, automate and improve the systems that you create.

You’ll need an interest in how this universe works. A knowledge of financial markets and an understanding of the psychology of what makes humans tick.

The knowledge of mathematical concepts that support the ideas of futures & options.  An interest in games (like Chess or Poker) and game theory. It goes without saying that you will be an incredibly solid software engineer specialising in the C# & .Net stack.
  
You’ll need:

• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics (or something similar)
• Experience working on Trading Systems that support high volume (millions per day), low latency (microseconds) trades across the following products such as futures, options, derivatives, algo, risk is a must.
• Love building complex software that supports Trading Systems
• Experience building out financial Trading Systems is a huge plus, (quant, risk, risk) but knowledge and interest in this is a must
• You are a seasoned software engineer with C# & .Net working on large-scale enterprise products, particularly finance-related
