Fulton Hogan is looking for a Traffic Engineer to support its delivery of the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), as part of the Metropolitan Roads Program Alliance (MRPA). MRPA was formed in 2018 and following the successful completion of several major projects, is now focused on delivering the level crossing removals at Dandenong, Officer, Beaconsfield, Truganina, Altona and, Melton as well as developing future works projects.Responsibilities:Preparation of Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) to assist the construction works staging for both short-term and long-term implementations.Apply for permits to work from authorities and maintain rapport via ongoing communication and liaison.Work collaboratively with consultants to produce Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and associated reporting.Monitor implemented TMPs and TGSs, and conduct audits during/post implementation.Support the external Road Safety Audit (RSA) process, assessing audit findings and coordinating the corrective actions.Attend all major traffic switches and coordinate with engineers and foreman to ensure successful implementation of TMPs.Provide on-site technical support to supervision team during the installation of temporary road safety barriers, line marking, signage, etc.Facilitate traffic awareness training and participate in toolbox talks to site personnel as required. The successful applicant will have:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent tertiary qualifications.Demonstrated experience as a Site/Project/Traffic Engineer on major transport infrastructure projects.Detailed planning and construction staging skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, coupled with the ability to take ownership and problem solve when under pressure.
