Via Seek, we are seeking (pun intended) a University Student to join us and undertake an Internship to practically apply your Traffic Engineering knowledge and complete your Engineering Professional Practice requirements!
What You’ll Learn and Typical Duties:
As part of the internship, you will have the opportunity to assist in the delivery of Traffic Engineering Services on numerous Commercial, Residential and Industrial projects across the SEQ region.
Furthermore, the internship will allow you to implement and expand on your Traffic Engineering technical capabilities, including but not limited to:
- Car parking layouts and driveway design,
- Intersection operational assessments (SIDRA Intersection Analysis),
- Exposure to the relevant National Standards and Guidelines (i.e the Australian Standards series and Austroads Guidelines),
- Compliance with Local and State Government regulations (i.e the Brisbane City Council City Plan) with respect to minimum car parking requirements and service vehicle arrangements,
- Technical reporting and AutoCAD work.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a driven (pun intended) university student who meets the following criteria:
- Completed at least two (2) years at university undertaking a degree in Civil Engineering,
- Australian working rights,
- Capability to work a minimum of 1 – 2 days per week,
- Capability to complete the internship completely in Office (no WFH arrangements),
- Capability to commence the internship during the first week of April.

- Sign off / certification for a minimum of 30 days (or equivalent duration of time as per your university requirements) to obtain your Engineering Professional Practice,
- Opportunity to transition to a part-time Student Engineer position following the completion of your internship.
