- Manage and Coordinate the development and Implementation of Traffic Guidance Schemes, Traffic Management Plans, procedures and forms chosen to ensure the project is delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Coordinate and direct designs in relation to temporary and permanent traffic management.
- Work closely with the design team and construction team to develop best for project outcomes for all required traffic staging.
- Manage the traffic team with the view of developing the experience and knowledge base of all direct reports.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers in Workzone Traffic Management.
- Ensure appropriate road safety audits are carried out.
- Manage and directly liaise with project managers, clients, and key stakeholders for work/ traffic applications and permits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with client representatives to ensure successful delivery of the project.
- Consult with Clients and the community on projects in relation to impacts and mitigating strategies.
- Investigate traffic issues and prepare concept plans to improve safety, amenity, and the environment.
- Knowledge of Codes of practice, Australian Standards, and Road Traffic Act as they relate to Traffic Management and road safety.
- Knowledge and understanding of computer-aided design, modelling, and drafting packages.
- Ensure that all traffic management works are carried out to highest Safety standards.
- 5-10 years' in an engineering role ideally with traffic management experience within the rail, transport or water infrastructure sectors backed by a formal engineering qualification.
- Traffic Management Designer (TMD) 1, 2 & 3 (RIISS00063, RIISS00064 & RIISS00065) skill sets.
- Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a range of internal customers and external suppliers;
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve;
- Proven communicator who can lead, train and positively influence those around them.
