About the Role

The Traffic Officer role is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient transport of cane from sidings to the mill and maintaining an adequate supply of cane for milling. The position will suit someone who is self-motivated and doesn't require close supervision. Previous related experience is preferred but not essential.
The role may be Seasonal or Permanent dependent on the successful candidate's year round skill set and this will be determined on a case by case basis by Management. The position involves continuous shift work during the crushing season, weekend work and some overtime may be required.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Manual 'C' class driver's licence
- A good understanding of the Proserpine cane rail network
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to guide and support others, and work in a team environment
- A strong commitment to safety with involvement in safety/improvement teams
