Responsibilities & Qualifications
Trainee Accountant
- We are looking for a candidate who is currently studying (or intending to study) a Bachelor of Accounting Degree (or similar) while gaining valuable experience in an esteemed Accounting Firm.
- Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including preparation of Income Tax Returns, Financial Statements, Business Activity Statements (BASs), Data Entry and Reconciliations.
- Support Senior Accountants in various tasks.
Intermediate Accountant
- Completed a relevant Accounting Degree (or near completion)
- Preferably with 3-5 years + of experience in Public Practice.
- Have experience producing Income Tax Returns and Financial Statements for Individuals, Companies, Trusts & Partnerships.
- Proven ability to apply current technical taxation knowledge to small & medium business clients and provide research to Senior Client Managers on all Taxation matters.
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile client work in a variety of Accounting Software including Xero, Intuit QuickBooks, MYOB & Reckon.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Able to liaise with clients, ATO and ASIC in a confident manner.
- Assisting with training new Graduates and/or co-workers.
