About the team
The exciting full-time 12-month opportunity based with Infrastructure Gold Coast, being part of a team responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of the active assets associated within the sewerage pumping system, treatment plants, water pump stations, pressure control sites, reservoirs and associated plant and equipment. You'll be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and sustainability while building a rewarding career path.
You will also undertake formal training and assessment with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which will lead to a nationally recognised qualification in water operations. This training is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queensland for Work Initiative – First Start Program. The program aims to provide young people and disadvantaged Queensland job seekers with opportunities to gain a nationally recognised qualification and 12 months on the job experience.

What you’ll be responsible for:
- Monitoring and actioning faults for all Water, Recycled Water and Sewerage networks via a SCADA network monitoring system
- Dispatching field technicians to attend to required works
- Responding to residents' water and sewerage issues and actioning accordingly based on priority/safety
We’re looking for people who are:
- Highly motivated and proactive problem solvers who have an eye for detail.
- Team players who positively contribute and embraces change.
- Self-starters and eager to learn about new technology and processes.
- Good communicators with basic language, literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to effectively communicate, understand and follow instructions in a high-risk environment.
- Successful completion of Year 12.
- Ability to work rotating shifts pending business requirement.
