DA Beretta Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated business established in the late 1950’s specialising in the installation of Water Supply, Sewer, SWD and Fire Services. We also undertake Commercial and Maintenance plumbing for clients including Barwon Water, V/Line, BAS, Local Councils, Retirement Villages, Private Developers and Civil Engineers.
Job Summary
Geelong based and strongly established, we are currently expanding and have an opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our team. The position will report to and work closely with our Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in plumbing/civil environment, possess excellent organisation skills, be self-motivated and detailed oriented. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience plus Superannuation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in estimating Plumbing/Civil projects (Water Industry).
- Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook, SM8 and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience in sourcing quotations and working with the relevant trades and suppliers.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Utilisation of online job management software to create and manage jobs.
- Obtain DBYD services plans.
- Read and understand Civil Engineering design plans and Service Plans i.e. Water, Sewer, Fire Service and SWD design plans.
- Interpret and understand quote requirements.
- Prepare “As Constructed” plans for submission to local Water Authority. (AutoCAD would be advantageous but not essential).
- Obtain relevant Permits i.e. Road Occupancy permits, CSE permits and Shut Down requests.
- Job cost analysis and evaluation.
- Estimating a range of different projects in a timely manner.
- Additional tasks as required on a day to day basis.
