The successful applicants will gain experience in all aspects of Dental Assisting including infection control, dental chair-siding, instruments, sterilisation of equipment and administration. The training will also cover oral pathology, dental equipment, physiology and oral surgery. At the end of the traineeship, you will have obtained a National qualification in Dental Assisting, which can be utilised in any Dental Practice around Australia. What would this involve? Work Monday to Friday in the Dental Practice for a period of 12 months. Train to assist dentists and hygienists chair-side. Gain an understanding of the instruments & dental tools used. Train in sterilisation techniques for equipment. Learn all about infection control. Gain an understanding regarding oral pathology and physiology.
