Trainer and Assessor
Kingsford Academy Australia (KAA) is an established college (RTO - 45882, CRICOS - 04036M) with 4 campuses located in the heart of the CBD in Sydney and Melbourne. KAA offers a wide range of VET courses to our international students. KAA has modern campuses with a dynamic and fun team culture!
KAA and its sister concern, Kingsford International Institute (KII) are looking for enthusiastic “Kitchen Management and Hospitality Trainers” to teach Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and Diploma of Hospitality Management qualifications in Sydney and Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching “relevant qualifications” to overseas students and will be able to independently plan their lessons in accordance with the curriculum, working well within deadlines to ensure that all class information and student progress are up-to-date. We would like trainers who are committed and willing to work with us to ensure the best learning outcomes for our students.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic trainers to deliver the following qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (SIT40521)
- Diploma of Hospitality Management (SIT50422)
As a Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for:
- Deliver training to international students
- Develop session plans
- Assess student competency and provide feedback in a timely manner
- Work within the student-centred ASQA compliance framework
- Maintain all relevant student records and administration
- Contribute to content development
- Involvement in validation and moderation programs on a regular basis
The successful candidate must fulfil the following criteria:
- Hold current or are in the process of upgrading to the latest qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
- Significant work experience in relevant industry
- Ongoing commitment to professional development
- Minimum 2 years of vocational education and training experience is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of organisation and prioritisation skills
- Proficient in delivering training and conducting assessments to various students from different cultural backgrounds
- Proficient in using computers; able to learn and understand how to use new software/programs at a basic level
- Team Player with the ability to mix well with others and satisfactorily carry out tasks in liaison with colleagues
- Have full Australian working rights
