As a Trainer and Assessor Learning Pathways, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic group of trainers, contributing your expertise to create a positive impact through face to face learning delivery.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching literacy and numeracy to adults, bringing valuable insight and skill to our team. Hours each week will vary depending on training load, offering flexibility to accommodate your schedule while still making a meaningful contribution.
This rewarding position focuses on teaching the Certificates in General Education for Adults (CGEA), addressing the education and training needs of adults striving to improve their literacy, basic math, and general education skills. By empowering individuals with essential knowledge, we not only enhance their prospects for further study and employment but also enrich the fabric of our communities.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or TAE40122 (GOTAFE supports on the job completion)
- Experience in teaching literacy and numeracy to adults.
- Proven capability to work well with a broad team.
An AQF Level 7 teaching qualification will be advantageous but is not essential.
If you are successful in this role you will be required to provide:
- A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
- A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
- A current Driver’s Licence (Car).
The salary range for this position is L1.1 – L3.4 under the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement 2018.
