This position is for an immediate start!
As trainer and assessor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering various courses and skill sets.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Develop and conduct training sessions
- Planning, preparing and assessing student's work according to the assessment process, including RPL
- Participate and contribute to the validation and moderation of learning resources and assessments
- Identify and assess students that need additional learning support and provide feedback in a timely manner.
- Maintaining, developing, and modifying learning resources and assessment tools as required
- Participating in industry consultation activities and new programs as required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Experience and vocational currency, including but not limited to BSB and SIT training packages
- Digital literacy- including but not limited to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and any LMS/SMS
- Experience in engaging, inspiring, and training in this sector
- Experience designing, delivering and implementing VET training programs aligned to AQTF qualifications
- developing and updating training packages in line with relevant industry and compliance standards
- High-level organisational, administrative, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to achieving results in a flexible, small team environment
- Current driver's license and reliable transport
- Willingness to undertake Australian Federal Police National Police Check
- A current Queensland's Working with Children Check (Bluecard) or ability to obtain it before commencing employment.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and understanding of VET compliance and standards, and commitment to undertake ongoing professional development both in the areas of training and vocationally competency
- A clear understanding of the RTO Standards 2015 and willingness to remain qualified to train and assess groups and in the workplace
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
