About the Organisation

Stanley College is an independent Institute of Higher Education and Registered Training Organisation. We have provided training to local and international students for over 12 years.

We specialise in courses that address current skills shortages for several industries: ELICOS, Information & Communication Technology, Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, Community Services, Aged Care, Childhood Education & Care, Digital Marketing, Business, Leadership & Management.

Stanley College has 5 campuses, 4 based in Perth and 1 in Adelaide. We employ over 270 staff and have 3000 students from over 42 countries.

The Opportunity

Due to our ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Trainer & Assessor – Hospitality to join our friendly team across two campuses West Perth and James Street.

The ideal candidate will be supporting the Training and Assessment of Hospitality on a full-time /part-time /Casual basis. The classes are running on weekdays, weekends or evenings.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Training and Assessing the certificates, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management qualifications.
  • Delivering a range of practical and theory-based units.
  • Practical lessons include overseeing the 30-cover Restaurant to ensure a safe and hygienic workspace. Confidently demonstrating Barista; Cocktail, customer service, and restaurant skills to the students.
  • Using our LMS platform to deliver digital content while embedding your own unique/industry-relevant experiences to enrich the learning environment.
  • Marking students' assessments and providing quality feedback.
  • Ensuring up-to-date Hospitality focused industry currency.
  • Complying with industry-specific legislations and the requirements of the VET Quality Framework applicable to the qualification being delivered.
  • Accurately recording, tracking, and reporting students’ attendance, results, and unit outcomes.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

• A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

• Hospitality Management qualifications such as a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Hospitality

• Current industry skills/experience in relevant field

• Extensive training experience in the vocational education sector.

• Experience in training and assessing international students is desirable
