The Role
The main responsibility of the Training Advisor is to provide advice and operational support in Learning and Development requirement to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Covalent’s standards and procedures.
This is a 6-month Fixed Term FIFO contract on a 4:3 roster based at our Mt Holland site.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising with the Manager and relevant personnel to schedule training and assessing activities
- Delivering company and site inductions when required
- Assisting with the development and delivery of consistent competency-based training and assessment for the teams, including re-assessment and evaluation
- Assisting to develop training needs analyses and competency assessment tools as required
- Completing all relevant training and assessment documentation accurately, correctly in a timely manner and ensuring all training is recorded and maintained within INX InTuition
- Ensuring job-specific safety skills and responsibilities are met
- Maintaining current industry knowledge and skills for Training and Assessing qualifications and hold current vocational competencies for task being trained and assessed against
- Undertake all work in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements and Covalent policies & procedures.
- Conducting formal training audits internally and on contractors to ensure compliance in line with Covalent Lithium procedures.
- Assist in contractor prequalification assessments.
- Coordinate vendors in the delivery of services relating to training.
- Escalate relevant matters in accordance with project procedures.
- Maintain records in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
Role Requirements
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role within the mining industry.
- HRWL LF, WP, DG & RB (preferred)
- Working Safely at Height National Qualification
- Enter and Work in Confined Space National Qualification
- Valid HR Class Driver’s Licence
- Mobile Plant certifications
