  • Our team is located in Tamworth with flexible and hybrid working arrangements available
  • Salary ranges from $93,295 to $102,941 plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
     

About the role
Support the delivery of vocational education and training and employment programs and services to the community, apprentices, trainees, and their employers. It forms part of a team of staff providing regulatory, quality assurance, program administration and advisory functions to support the participation and completion of people in vocational education and training and related programs across the region.

Engage with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities, to inform of opportunities provided by TSNSW, including Aboriginal Programs and local training and employment opportunities.

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Be capable of working with little supervision in a high-volume environment.
  • Be able to prioritise your work in order to accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrate clear communication and be able to maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Have a current understanding about vocational education and training in a setting that is continuously changing.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. 

Essential requirements of the role

  • A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role.  The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
  • Current drivers licence and a willingness to travel
  • This position is targeted to the employment of an Aboriginal person and is authorised by the Department's EEO Management Plan in accordance with Part 9A of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. When applying for an Aboriginal identified position, applicants must provide confirmation of Aboriginality and a certified statutory declaration upon interview as defined in the Confirmation of Aboriginality Guidelines
