What's on offer?
Our Northern and Central Region Construction team are now seeking an enthusiastic Training Coordinator to join our dynamic and supportive team. In this position, you will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate training and development activities and strategies. You will:
- Adhere to the requirements of State Training Policies and ensure contractual requirements are met.
- Effectively analyse the skills development needs of the project workforce and map skilling requirements against nationally accredited training packages and other workforce training.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement programs which improve opportunities available for apprentices and trainees.
- Coordinate and record accredited and non-accredited skilling and training opportunities of the workforce and supply chain.
- Prepare relevant quarterly/monthly status reports as requested by the Client or Project Team and identify opportunities to secure wage subsidies that enhance learning and development outcomes for new and existing employees.
- Research and secure funding opportunities to help support and provide training and development opportunities to employees.
- Provide assistance and guidance in the field of training and development to the estimating and tendering department during expression of interest and tenders submissions.
- Prepare high-quality Training Management/ Skills Development Plans and implement across projects where required by contract.
- Develop strategies and programs that enhance the skills and development of the workplace, aid in the attraction and retention of staff and leave a legacy in the communities in which we operate.
This role will provide you with an opportunity to travel to project locations in Queensland, as well as South Australia and Western Australia on an as needs basis.
Ideally, you will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as problem-solving ability.
- A collaborative style with the ability to rapidly build relationships and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
