The Yarpa Hub is a one-stop-shop for First Nations business, industry, and community. Our purpose is to contribute to strengthening the First Nations Business Sector. We are a business unit of the NSW Aboriginal Land Council; the state’s peak representative body in Aboriginal Affairs and the largest member based Aboriginal organisation in NSW.

As the Training & Development Coordinator for the Yarpa Hub, you will be responsible for coordinating the design, development, and delivery of accredited and non-accredited training to Yarpa members to enable them to reach their business goals.
This includes working with internal and external stakeholders to co-design, develop and deliver a range of workshops, business development programs, and a suite of resources that meet the needs of our members and communities, and supports business success.
What would my day look like?
- In consultation with internal and external stakeholders, developing a suite of training and development workshops that are relevant, current, and culturally responsive.
- Facilitating Yarpa Hub’s Training & Development workshops where appropriate.
- In consultation with internal and external stakeholders, developing a suite of business resources and templates that support business success.
- Engaging with external providers and RTOs who provide training and/or workshops (e.g. coordinating request for proposals, co-designing, preparation of contracts, etc.).
- Managing the Yarpa Training & Development calendar.
- Developing and maintaining a Yarpa Training and Development Framework that supports effective planning, development, monitoring, and reporting on Yarpa training and development activities.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Training & Development with proven capacity building in adult education.
- Demonstrated high level development of communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing training strategies and programs.
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect First Nation communities, societies, and cultures in NSW.
- Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and experience in the continuous improvement and delivery of customer service.
- Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to complete work accurately and meet critical or competing deadlines.
- Ability to work in a strong regulatory environment and interact with stakeholders and learning providers.
