Location of Role
The role is to be performed in our Launceston Office.
Employment Status
Permanent Full Time or Part Time.
There is a possibility of the role being performed by 2 part time employees, one based in Launceston and the other at our Rosny (Hobart) office.

Key Purpose
The Training & Development Manager oversees the creation and maintenance of scalable, suitable solutions for induction, training, and promoting the growth of all employees across business streams and programs. This includes the management and improvement of mandatory & optional training programs for all employees and the monitoring of mandatory training.
Core Functions
- Maintain the training and learning pulse within Care Consultancy and Care Consultancy clients by contributing to the embedding of a learning culture.
- Prepare the annual Training and Development Plan for Care Consultancy and Care Consultancy clients in consultation with relevant managers and team leaders.
- Coordinate delivery of the annual Training and Development Plan for Care Consultancy and Care Consultancy clients within budget.
- Work closely with the Care Consultancy Quality & Risk Manager to ensure Care Consultancy and Care Consultancy clients are able to meet relevant Aged Care Quality Standards as part of the audit process.
- Oversee the Corporate induction program (conducted by Care Consultancy P&C Officers) and review on a regular basis.
- Conduct and support Managers and Team Leaders to conduct in-house training and learning sessions as required.
- Evaluate training methods and initiatives and measure their effectiveness, bringing forth operational and strategic recommendations for training and staffing methods and approaches where necessary.
- Track training attendance in all on-going training initiatives and prepare reports monthly as required by senior management, team manager and team leaders.
- Conduct training needs assessments annually in consultation with managers, team leaders and employees and provide feedback to employees
- Schedule training sessions, organise IT and other equipment, and manages course enrolment.
- Plan, organise, facilitate and order supplies for employee education and training events.
- Develop and contribute to organisational communications of training and development events and resources.
- Conduct follow-up feedback of all completed training to evaluate and measure employee attendance, performance, and satisfaction (training KPIs).
- Oversight the Learning Management System.
- Research and develop appropriate resources to support training eg. toolboxes, ppts, fact sheets.
Essential Requirements
- Significant demonstrated senior experience in aged care service delivery, assessment, care coordination and management, team leadership, clinical governance and services management, and /or; significant demonstrated experience and success in developing and delivering positive education and professional development outcomes.
- Excellent decision making, time management and organisational skills.
- High level verbal, written and interpersonal communication and relational skills and the ability to interact proactively with employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing and delivering training programs and learning materials via mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, etc.
- Highly proficient in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint, which are all necessary in the creation of both visually and verbally engaging training materials and reports for senior training and development management.
- COVID-19 Vaccination x 3 doses.
- Two (2) professional referee checks, preferably from most recent employment or education institution.
- Evidence of visa conditions (if applicable).
- National Police Certificate within the last 3 months.
- Current Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence.
