About AMS

Aerodrome Management Services (AMS) is a professional services company providing a wide range of technical support and aerodrome management services to aerodrome owners and operators across Australia. Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design, project management and construction, maintenance, technical inspections and aerodrome surveys, operational readiness, airport security, training, regulatory compliance, audits, and ongoing daily operations. 

About the Role 

AMS has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Training Lead to join our team at our head office located close to the action of Perth Airport. You will be responsible for the management of the AMS Registered Training Organisation (RTO) operations, coordinating the delivery of training and the development of new course materials. You will also offer support internally with advice and guidance as it relates to training requirements and strategies to support organizational objectives. As a part of this role you will regularly travel to regional areas to meet with stakeholders and assist with course delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the RTO’s compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Leading the development of new training materials that are tailored to suit clientele 
  • Coordinating internal audits, including actioning findings
  • Collaborating with other departments and supporting them with training requirements 
  • Assisting with the delivery of courses as required 

About You

AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career, but you’ll already be off to a great start if you have previous experience in the following areas:

  • Hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Have previous experience in the management of an RTO or in a senior L&D position 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles 
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning tools. 
  • Ability to use initiative and manage own workload to ensure effective management of tasks, deadlines and outcomes.
  • Ability to provide a National Police Clearance record.

In addition, it would be great if you have:

  • Industry experience working in airport management, operations compliance or an associated role.
  • Knowledge of the MOS part 139 and associated legislation.
