Primary Objective:
The Training Officer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs to ensure compliance and deliver new skills, knowledge and capabilities required for business performance and individual growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and update tailored training programs for poultry farming and processing operations, conducting needs assessments to identify training requirements and address skill or knowledge gaps.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations for farm and processing plant employees using a variety of methods including on-the-job training, e-learning, and classroom instruction to ensure effective learning.
- Schedule and organise training sessions, ensuring logistical arrangements, and effectively communicate details to employees and management while collaborating with Workplace Assessors to implement a task rotation and competency verification program.
- Monitor and assess training program effectiveness using evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics, continuously updating materials based on participant input and industry developments, and staying informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in poultry farming and processing.
- Ensure all training programs comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, maintain comprehensive records of training activities and employee progress, and prepare and present reports on training outcomes and recommendations to management.

Key Selection Criteria:
- A formal training, education or coaching qualification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Prior experience in training and assessment is highly regarded.
- Prior experience in agricultural sector or FMCG an advantage, not essential.
- High Risk Work licence (Forklift, Heavy Rigid etc.) an advantage, not essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate to an ESL audience.
- Effective presentation and public speaking abilities.Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
