Lime Recruitment is currently working with a government department to recruit a Training Specialist contract to 30/06/2025 based in the Brisbane CBD and working from home.
In this role you will:
- Work collaboratively to ensure an overall coordinated approach for analysis, design and development of training to support the training program
- Facilitate instructor-led training, conduct assessments and post-training coaching sessions and assist with training logistical coordination
- Translate technical requirements and information into clear and simple language to develop high quality, modern and aesthetically pleasing instructor-led training packages (not limited to Slide Packs, Facilitator Guides, Participant Workbooks and Quick Reference Guides) using research-proven methods of instructional design
- Incorporate Subject Matter Expertise feedback into existing training packages and update for continuous currency and improvement
- Actively participate in working groups to support holistic and in-depth knowledge of new systems, processes, software and hardware
- Track system defects and resolutions and associated interim instructions to ensure training participants are supported during and post go-live events
- Review and quality assure your own and peer-review other team members' output
- Collaboratively consult with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Change Managers and Subject Matter Experts to understand learning goals and translate business processes into real-life, interactive operational scenarios
- Facilitate webinars and other online training seminars when instructor-led training is not possible
- Quality assure eLearning modules and report on user completion and evaluations
- Pro-actively resolve relevant training-related issues raised by management and other stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive and professional reports and maintain accurate training and assessment documentation in accordance with appropriate record management policies.
You will have:
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and schedule / organise individual workload to achieve outcomes within negotiated timeframes, monitor project activities with reference to deadlines and provide quality advice and sound recommendations to Project Leads
- Comfort with the requirement to work on concurrent training packages and be an enthusiastic problem solver for a wide array of small and large tasks
- Thorough knowledge of instructional design methodologies suitable for training package development in an adult learning environment and the ability to provide evidence of this if
- interviewed Well-developed prioritisation, time management and organisation skills with previous experience managing multiple projects, tasks and deadlines.
