Transfer Station Attendant

• Casual – approx. 25 - 30 hours per week
• $35.29 – $36.41 / hour based on skills and experience
• Several Positions available
• Must be available weekends and public holidays

The Position

As a Transfer Station Attendant and reporting to Site Leads you will work collaboratively with the Resource Recovery team to undertake general labouring duties, operate mechanical plant such as trucks, front-end loaders, excavators, landfill compactors and/or skid steers, and engage with customers to assist in the operational delivery of waste services at Council’s Transfer Stations and landfills. 

About You

You will have demonstrable experience and/or a keen interest in working outdoors, with at least a “C” class current Queensland drivers’ licence. It is essential that you have high-level problem-solving skills and the ability to follow work programs and instruction. As this role is customer-facing, it is also crucial that you have great customer-service skills and experience in meeting quality customer service standards. – For a full list of Selection Criteria, please see the Position Description.
