As Australia’s only specialist eye, ear, nose and throat hospital, the Eye and Ear has been providing care for the senses for 150 years. The Eye and Ear has almost 60 different outpatient clinics for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of vision and hearing loss and provides a 24-hour emergency eye and ear, nose and throat service. Every year the Eye and Ear cares for over 220,000 patients, with over 160,000 outpatients, nearly 44,000 emergency patients and over 17,000 inpatients. About the Role
Patient Transport Coordinator
The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is seeking a Patient Transport Coordinator to undertake patient transport enquires and bookings and assist if required with interpreting enquires and bookings.
The successful applicant will have a high level of communication skills to engage with patients, carers, external health services, aged care facilities, external transport providers and internal clinical and non clinical staff. The role will also include invoice management, data and documentation recording on both internal and external systems which will require the successful applicant to have good administration skills and willingness to learn new systems.
This role will suit an applicant who would like part time work .6 Wednesday – Friday with the flexibility to undertake extra hours on Monday and/or Tuesday if required.
Applicants with both experience or with minimal experience but enthusiasm and ability to learn are welcome to apply.
