About the role:
Our client is looking for an AM Transport Allocator to join their team in Murarrie on a Permanent Full Time Contract. You will be reporting to the Transport/Customer Support Manager.
Role: Transport Allocator
Hours: 38 hours/week, Monday - Friday
Shift Time: 4:00am - 12:00pm
Early morning rate: $36/hour
- Daily OT payable.
Responsibilities:
- Accountability for optimising and managing drivers hours and outside hire costs.
- Allocating and dispatching deliveries to meet deadlines, whilst ensuring adherence to KPI’s
- Organisation and compiling of various paperwork and documents in preparation for drivers.
- Assist with various operational functions where the team may require support.
- The main role of Transport Allocator- is to effectively plan and execute customers’ orders and deliveries from and to their requested delivery points
- Communicate all/any delivery/pickup issues with Contractual Clients and other customers.
- Ensure any and all issues are dealt with immediately and a solution found as they arise.
- First point of contact for all drivers
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in Warehousing
- LF Forklift Ticket
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
- Good MS Office Skills
- Good knowledge of Brisbane suburbs
- Be willing to go through Fire Warden and/or First Aid training
- Unrestricted working rights
- PPE (hi vis vest/shirt and steel toed boots)
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 15KG
- Must be able to be stand/walk for entire shift of up to 8 hours
