They are looking to hire an experienced Transport Company Manager to join their team.The RoleThis is for a full time role with an annual salary between $70,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation and will be based in their office in Mayfield West in NSW.ResponsibilitiesLiaising with clients with regards to the costs associated with our services and handling of any client complaints receivedOrganising maintenance services or repairs of vehiclesDealing with customer complaints in an ethical mannerArranging collection and delivery of vehicles and goodsGeneral administration duties including data entry, generating reports, filing/archiving and responding to calls and queries.Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulationsOversight of driver fatigue management issuesAccount managementLiaising with finance regarding supplier invoice queriesMaintaining and distributing service and repair logsMaintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reportsOther duties assigned by the Director and reporting to the DirectorEnsure all vehicles are maintained and comply with Roadworthiness, OH&S and environment standardsMaintain maximum availability of the fleet, through scheduled servicing and planned preventative maintenanceEnsure all vehicles are maintained to the required maintenance and appearance standardsAssist and contribute in tender and bid submissions for new service contractsManage Fleet Maintenance vehicle defect reporting, assess and action all reports and arrange with contractors for vehicles to be repairedOrganise and supervise company and contract drivers so that all freight requirements are completed by the agreed deadlinesCheck all employee and contractor run sheets for possible inaccuracies or time delays and manage any discrepanciesRequirementsAt least a Diploma or equivalent in the freight and transport industryAt least 4 years of relevant experience in a commercial capacityAt least 4 years of relevant experience in client management skills, especially regarding negotiations and complaint handlingFundamental knowledge of legislation impacting heavy vehicle fleet operations including WHS, environmental, basic fatigue management and road/transport complianceAbility to supervise and provide direction and guidance to other employees including the ability to assist in the provision of on-the-job training and induction.
