This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week).
Position Responsibilities and Tasks
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the transportation company to optimize efficiency and meet business objectives.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate transportation services, including scheduling and dispatching vehicles to maximize cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance of staff, including drivers and administrative personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and relevant legislation in all aspects of transportation operations.
- Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and service providers to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
- Handle customer inquiries, address concerns, and resolve issues to maintain positive client relationships.
- Manage financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes to adapt company strategies accordingly.
- Monitor and assess the performance of transportation services, implementing improvements as needed to enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve communication, and achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant qualifications
- A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial management principles, budgeting, and reporting is important.
- Familiarity with relevant software and systems is valuable.
Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $80,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
