Your Role
Due to an internal promotion, the Transport & Logistics Coordinator position has become available and if you’re seeking a new home with career potential, this might be the one. You’ll work closely with the General Manager, Warehousing & Transport Teams and on a daily basis, you’ll be required to;
- Professionally handle high-volume phone calls in a polite and helpful manner
- Respond to incoming pricing requests, and provide written quotations for customers by utilising rate cards and internal quoting systems
- Liaise with all departments to ensure expectations are set correctly for the customer, and maintain updates on timeframes as required
- Follow up outstanding quotes in a calendarised system to ensure no sales opportunity is missed
- Work closely with the General Manager for special projects outside standard rate card pricing
- Participate in achieving department KPIs by further developing customer relationships
- Focus on increasing account engagement by calling and reaching out to customers who haven't been contacted for some time
- Assisting with responses to formal tenders and coordinating input from key stakeholders in the business
- Maintaining approved sub-contractor registers and checking sub-contractor invoices for works completed
- Provide generalist sales administrative support throughout the business, including warehousing, operations, and accounts
The position is Full-Time, Permanent and the working location has on-site parking. Remuneration will include a base of $65-75K + Super, depending on experience and working days are Monday – Friday with no weekend work required. Hours are approximately 8.30 – 5pm however, some flexibility on selecting a set time is possible.
About You
- You have at least 2 years of experience in Transport & Logistics either in Customer Service, Operations or Scheduling Freight
- You have an excellent phone manner and the ability to deal with a variety of personalities
- You thrive in busy, industrial environments
- You work with a sense of urgency and enjoy fast paced activity
- You have excellent office administration and computer skills
