Transport and Logistics Officer
Dennis Transport, an innovative transport company that prides itself on providing quality service is seeking a Transport and Logistics Officer to join their team in Wingfield SA.
This is a fast-paced full-time position that will work closely with the yard team, administration staff and Line-haul drivers to provide efficient and friendly customer services.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage daily operations, preparing and allocating documentation and vehicles for local delivery staff and line-haul drivers.
- Manage and supervise line-haul drivers, administration and local staff providing guidance, training and support.
- Ensuring that all company policy, safety and NHVAS legislative regulations and standards are adhered to.
- Provide effective customer service across all channels of communication, including monitoring and responding to emails and shared emails.
- Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
- Working within the organisations operational systems (ICS, 2IC, MT Data) to organise and manifest transport bookings and management of pallets.
- Communicating and coordinating maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Performing general yard responsibilities as required.
To be considered for this position candidates will need to have:
- Prior experience in a similar position with practical, administrative and people management experience.
- Knowledge in the following areas: NHVAS, CoR, and WHS.
- A Current Forklift Licence (LF) with operational experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, logistics systems, and data entry software.
- Effective communication skills and be team orientated.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Problem solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
Ideally the successful candidate will have TLIF0006 Administer a Fatigue Risk Management System (Scheduling) and experience with HACCAP, PIRSA and in driving trucks with a valid heavy vehicle licence (minimum HC).
The successful applicant must be entitled to work in Australia and be prepared to provide a criminal and drivers licence history check and undergo pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
