Symons Clark Logistics is a 140 year old, family owned, Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.
The Transport Administratoris responsible for supporting the Transport Team with day-to-day administrative tasks, helping to support effective transport operations and provide excellent customer service.
What you will be doing…
- Preparing, compiling and sorting documents for data entry, and storing completed documents.
- Supplying staff with requested information.
- Updating and maintaining databases.
- Identifying customer needs and taking proactive steps to maintain a positive experience.
- Responding to customer queries in a timely and effective manner, via phone and email.
- Directing customers to the appropriate information, resources, and channels.
- Identifying and resolving administrative issues in a timely manner, while maintaining a positive customer experience and ongoing relationships.
- Daily interaction with Truck Operators; scanning and processing dockets.
- Performing payroll administration.
- Allocating and scanning compliant diary pages.
- Acting as a ‘Process Champion’ and actively participating in the review, development, and implementation of administrative improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the team to resolve administrative issues.
- Other administration tasks as required.
Do you have…
- Previous experience working in an Administration role, ideally within the Transport industry.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and professionally across departments.
- Ability to be process driven, with an eye for detail.
- Confidence using the Microsoft Office Suite.
