Mount Annan Christian College (MACC) is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Christian College in the Macarthur region. We are seeking someone to take up the role as a trusted Transport Manager for the College bus service, vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, trailers, mowers and anything with an engine.
The successful applicant must be able to work well in a team, however, also be capable of working alone when required. All applicants require a sound knowledge of WHS practices and will be required to adhere to College policies.
The role will involve driving buses, rostering drivers for excursions and sporting activities, proactively arranging scheduled servicing and maintenance of College buses, vehicles and managing the transport team.
Interacting with students, parents / guardians and teachers, the applicant should have strong communication skills.
The applicant must be competent in handling the administration of several onboard systems, namely, RollCall, CCTV and Driver Fatigue software systems.
This is a full-time position working flexible 38 hours per week during school terms only between 6:00am to 6:00pm. Some potential overnight stays and one day long range College trips are also part of the suite of services provided to our students and College community and coverage for these events are included in this role.
Selection Criteria:
- HR Drivers license (essential)
- Previous experience bus driving students or groups of children (essential)
- Experience rostering and managing staff
- Knowledge of vehicle (including buses and larger vehicles) compliance, maintenance and road regulatory requirements (highly regarded)
- Ability to assess and determine the need for new bus routes in line with growing demand
- Knowledge of vehicle onboard systems such as RollCall and CCTV (highly regarded)
- A current First Aid Certificate
- A current Working With Children Check
