In this role you will
- Proactively monitor and assess incidents and congestion on transport corridors to identify and respond to unplanned events.
- Provide traffic information and recommendations to the Senior Transport Operations Controller (STOC) for effective incident management and act in the STOC role if required.
- Communicate accurate information to the TMC communications team and relevant Stakeholders.
- Monitor clearway corridors and dispatch tow trucks for illegally parked vehicles to optimize road network utilization.
- Have an informed awareness of the traffic signal system, ability to report operational issues to maintain system integrity and efficiency.
- Use the GRN radio network to communicate with field resources about planned and unplanned events, maintaining situational awareness.
- Manage both planned and unplanned incidents to minimize their impact on the road network and customers.
- Coordinate the timely and safe operation of traffic control systems by monitoring traffic flow.
- Contribute to event preparation and participate in incident debriefs for ongoing improvement.

About you
- Understanding of NSW road rules, including clearway and parking restrictions.
- Knowledge of key transport modes in Sydney and across NSW is highly regarded.
- Proven ability to support multi-modal incident management in a collaborative team setting.
- Flexibility to work from Eveleigh and Auburn on a 24/7 rotational roster, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Experience in a control room environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency and adaptability with computer-based applications and multiple system interfaces.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NSW road rules and principal transport modes in NSW.
