In this role, you'll:

Be responsible for ensuring operational performance by managing in-service faults and failures, and in-service fault response to Sydney and NSW Trains rollingstock, whilst delivering rollingstock to maintenance centres for compliance, programmed and fault rectification. 

You will act as first point of contact for train crew and receive and respond in a timely manner to alerts via a range of management and safety systems for all defects, faults and failures of Sydney and NSW Trains fleet to enable prompt resolution. 

Ensuring operational performance, in-service faults and failures, and in-service fault response information is captured quickly, accurately and disseminated in a timely manner to support maintenance and operational requirements. 

You will work in conjunction with the Outsourced Fleets Help Desk to coordinate mobile technician support in stabling yards,

This is a front-line role based at the Rail Operations Centre in Alexandria and will involve 24/7 shift work.

About you

You will hold a Trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Fields with a demonstrated experience in heavy maintenance workshop.

You will have a great track record of driving various complex technical solutions in an operational environment.

Sound knowledge of rollingstock maintenance activities. 

In addition, you will have strong communication skills and experience communicating at all levels, coupled with excellent stakeholder engagement and be accountable with high levels of integrity.

You will be working in a large team on a rotating shift. This will include weekend work and also extended hours may be necessary at short notice.
