We are currently seeking a motivated Transport Company Manager to join our team. The Transport Company Manager at “Jab Transport Pty Ltd” will be responsible and in-charge of the business and controls the day to day operation of the business and responsible to handle fleet schedule including maintenance of all vehicles, and timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
The Manager will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Responsible for purchasing, hiring and selling company vehicles.
2. Proactively manage the fleet to ensure that vehicle safety is assured and fleet is well maintained.
3. Responsible for coordination of leasing the vehicles.
4. Responsible and in-charge of all issues pertaining to employees, contractors, vehicles, accounts etc.
5. Manage all accidents claims, tolls and fines promptly to minimise cost and maximise customer satisfaction.
6. Manage bookings, dispatching, routing, tracking of vehicles and delivery schedules.
7. Responsible for timely arrival, departure, loading and unloading of vehicles schedules.
8. Make sure that goods are stored and transported safely and in hygienic environment to maintain the quality. Coordinate effective routing of trucks and staff to optimize delivery and service.
9. Liaising with insurers and repairers. Arrange Insurance and observe the state’s requirement for company’s fleet.
10. Responsible for maintenance, repairs and fuelling of the company vehicles. Coordinate equipment to provide service (eg: vehicle mechanical inspections, mechanical repair, admin services, technical expertise, etc) upon request.
11. Manage all financial transactions of the business including: purchasing, selling, hiring etc.,
12. Prepare annual budget by forecasting fleet operation income and expenses, recording the resulting information in database for review and future planning.
13. Analyse expenditure and finalise operational statements to develop plans, policies or budgets for increasing profits or improving services.
14. Review customer services standards. Investigate and resolve customer’s problems. Adopt feedback procedures to ensure that customers receive efficient and excellent services.
15. It will be the responsibility of the Manager to provide required training to the staff or contractors to deliver excellent services. Supervise work force, including interviewing prospective employees and sub- contractors; providing and/or recommending training; coordinating, scheduling and assigning work.
16. Be updated and upgraded with the developments and changes in transportation field by reading pertinent journals, attending meetings and courses to be aware of the latest changes in the transport industry.
17. Ensuring adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and keep employees updated to ensure compliance with OH&S Regulation.

Special Requirements
· Transport Experience at Managerial level
· Road Transport Legislation Awareness
· Excellent knowledge of NSW Metro & Country Regions and
· Experience in Logistics
Educational Qualifications: The candidate must have AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
Remuneartion: The Manager role ( Full Time) will attract a salary of $80,000 per annum. In addition to the base salary 11% mandatory superannuation will be paid.
Experience: At least 2 years of full time related experience
Note: Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred. Temporary residents are also encouraged to apply if they meet the criteria.
