Key Requirements:
- Hold, as a minimum qualification, a Diploma in Counselling
- Holding a degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or similar would be highly advantageous
- Have a minimum of two years counselling or youth work experience where a minimum of one year is with the same organisation.
- Have a strong command of the written English language and be able to demonstrate this through a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test during recruitment.
- Be able to demonstrate a dedication to professional development – formal or informal.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review, and quality check, your own written and data entry work.
- Experience at client management and a high level of skill at time management.
- Be able to demonstrate a strong capacity to empathise with individuals who have experienced significant trauma.
- Possession of a current, full Queensland Drivers Licence (C Class).
- Willing to go through a Criminal History check.
- Possess a current Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian suitability (Blue) card or able to obtain.

(Between level 3 and 4 commensurate with experience).
