McDermott Aviation is Australia’s largest privately-owned Helicopter Company and as a growing and evolving organisation we are looking to add talent to our internal Travel and Logistics Team.
The Travel/Support Team perform in a dynamic, fast paced and changing environment to ensure McDermott Aviation’s staff, primarily pilots and engineers, are effectively moved around Australia and the world to our operational bases.
We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate with a ‘can do’ attitude to fill our internal team. This position will be Full-Time Fixed-Term for 12-months.
Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities
The role will include but is not limited to:
· Booking all end-to-end employee travel arrangements
· Room management of rental property and crew house accommodation
· Rental and crew car management
· Booking of business conference and meeting arrangements
· Facilitating applications for relevant work visas for McDermott staff
· Data entry and reporting of all bookings and staff movement
· Providing after hours and weekend support as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
These positions both call for confident and articulate individuals with good communication and problem-solving skills.
The ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly, as well as experience in travel booking engines including GDS systems would be preferred.
Strong organisation and workload management skills, including the ability to prioritise work and reprioritise when necessary to adapt to constant (and often conflicting) demands.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail at all times is critical. A skillset to deal with all work matters professionally and confidentially, exercising a high level of discretion, independence, and judgement when completing responsibilities and when dealing with officials, senior management, employees, and the general public will be important in the role.
