About the Role:
We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic Travel Coordinator, for a newly created role, managing all corporate business travel and associated processes.
The role is instrumental to ensuring all employee requests for travel are accurately managed, travel costs and budgets are tightly controlled and response times to escalated travel issues are consistently controlled.
Key Accountabilities:
- Organisation, management and execution of professional and accurate employee travel arrangements in accordance with company travel policy and guidelines
- Assisting in the administration of employee travel allowances, expenses, and reimbursements as required
- Reviewing invoices and supporting the financial reconciliation of all business travel costs
- Responding swiftly to changes that may impact pre-determined travel plans, ensuring employees remain on schedule in accordance
- Ensure tickets, itineraries, and travel documentation are issued correctly and delivered to the employee on time
- Identifying cost-saving initiatives and opportunities for process improvement
About you:
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience with specific expertise in corporate travel
- A passion for delivering cost effective and practical travel arrangements that support both employee and business needs
- Ability to work, problem-solve, and multitask in a fast-paced environment, acting in the best interests of the business at all times
- A comprehensive knowledge of domestic and international group fares and systems
- Can maintain favourable working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- An inherently proactive person, motivated by providing solutions to complex logistical challenges
- Expertise in fares and complex itineraries, amazing attention to detail and a passion for customer service
- Highly computer literate and adaptable to the use of various software/programs (experience with MS Projects highly desirable)
- Self- motivated, driven and capable of meeting deadlines under pressure regardless of shifting priorities
