If you are a passionate Registered Nurse dedicated to patient well-being and possess the confidence to "hit the ground running," we want to hear from you. First Choice Care offers short-term contracts (full-time hours) spanning 4-12 weeks in diverse locations across Queensland, including Cairns and Hinterland, Central Queensland, Central West, Darling Downs, Mackay, North West, South West, Torres and Cape, Townsville, and Wide Bay. We accommodate to your availability, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

With a dedicated consultant by your side, you can confidently navigate your journey, backed by round-the-clock support from our Allocations Team. We pay close attention to your contract preferences and work transparently to meet your needs, ensuring you stay informed at every step of the process. We have a variety of contracts available in Emergency, ICU, Mental Health, Primary Health Care, Theatre, Renal, Aged Care, Maternity and Remote Area Nursing throughout the year.
Requirements:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Minimum two years of postgraduate experience
- Current Advanced Life Support Certificate (for Emergency and ICU roles)
- Formal Triage qualification (for Emergency roles)
- Venepuncture and Cannulation experience/competency
- Recent birth suite experience (for Midwives)
- NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain (for Aged Care and MPHS roles)
- National Police Check within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain
- Competitive hourly rates
