Field Services Veterinarian

Through the provision of first-class technical information, you will support the sales team in achieving business outcomes, driving sales and market share growth, and maximise portfolio opportunities. You will interact with customers on a technical level, deliver presentations at forums local and national, and train sales representatives on the use of technical data during sales calls. You will also coach sales representatives on technical selling. Able to communicate technical information effectively to a range of audiences, you will also develop effective product/industry training programs for staff support preparation of technical tools and provide field technical support to the marketing team.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, however not limited to:

Liaising with the sales team to develop and implement territory plans for technical field coverage, including customer visits, provision of best practice technical trainings and presentations, and measurement and achievement of defined key team field metrics.

Serving as the territory’s technical expert, evaluating regional and individual technical training needs of the sales representatives and coaching sales representatives in technical selling skills.

Implementing technical training programs for the sales team.

Preparing and delivering technical trainings to veterinary and retail customers and to university and TAFE students.

Building and maintaining effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders (e.g., veterinarians, vet nurses, store managers).

Developing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL’s) and key influencers (e.g. specialists, vet schools, key accounts).

Ensuring adoption, best practice use, and value capture of our CRM (MAXX).

Representing our company at Veterinary Schools, Professional Veterinary Associations and Conferences.

Developing and implementing field materials with the marketing team.  

Developing and implementing market development studies and producing publications to support launches and drive portfolio development. 

Monitoring market trends, and competitor activities and provide strategic and tactical recommendations to grow market share.  

Taking ownership of documentation and PV responsibilities.

Taking ownership of EHS responsibilities.

What You Must have

Qualifications and Experience

A Veterinary Degree and Registration with the NSW Veterinary Surgeons Board is essential. Post-Graduate qualifications, such as membership of the Australian College, are an advantage. You will possess:

Experience in clinical companion animal veterinary general or specialty practice.

Experience with companion animal vaccines and parasiticides; industry experience, research experience not essential but preferred.

Excellent presentation, oral and written communications skills

Ability to convey technical information in a manner easily understood.

Ability to define and implement calendar plans for achievement of aligned metrics including measurement of key performance indicators.

Competency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

High level of flexibility and resilience.

Negotiation and influencing skills.

Ability to problem solve in a logical manner.

Self-starter with initiative who works well with minimal supervision.
